Production and Injection Networks

This week I spent some time working on an algorithm for solving a network of gas lifted production wells with the gas lift injection network that supplies the gas.  One of my clients in the Gulf of Mexico wants to derive a system solution with spans both the production and injection networks in their sub-sea systems.  The are using WinGLUE and are happy with the analysis they get on an individual well basis.

The latest version of IPM does handle allow such a solution, but makes simplifying assumptions which would be appropriate for a large network.  However, for a small network IPM does not take into account the gas lift valve performance.  It looks like there is a simple mechanism to improve the solution that can be achieved with a combination of WinGLUE and GAP.
